Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, when used as directed. Keep spare sheets, the roll and the travel bag out of reach of babies and young children, and make sure your little one can’t reach the sheets on the window, for example from their cot. As with any nursery, position the cot away from windows. Take the sheets down after each nap and store them away until next time.
Sleepy Sundays works on flat, clear, single-glazed glass. It isn’t suitable for double or triple glazing, tinted, laminated, toughened safety, patterned, frosted, wired or opaque glass, or for Velux-style roof windows. Not sure about your windows? Contact us before you order and we’ll help.
Clean the glass first so it’s free of dust and fingerprints. Avoid window cleaners that leave a film, as this can stop the static from holding. Tear a sheet along the perforation, then trim it for smaller windows or overlap sheets for larger ones. Smooth it onto the glass so the whole window is covered, with no gaps.
Glass expands as it warms in the sun. Covering only part of a window, or leaving sheets up in strong sun for long periods, can cause uneven heat across the glass and, in rare cases, cracking. To keep your windows safe:
- Cover the whole window, with no gaps.
- Check the glass for chips or cracks before use.
- Take the sheets down after each nap or once you’re finished. They’re designed for temporary use, not to stay up permanently.
No. The sheets cling using static alone, with no glue, tape or suction cups, and they leave no residue. That makes them ideal for rentals.
Yes. With care, each sheet can be reused at least 3 times, although sun exposure will crease them over time. If the static weakens, rub the sheet with a microfibre or nylon cloth to recharge it. Between uses, store sheets flat (on a wall or door if you’re using them again that day), or roll them up and keep them in the travel bag in a cool, dry place.
Each roll has 25 sheets (60 × 80cm each), enough for about 12 standard double windows.
Sleepy Sundays is made in Germany to European standards. The sheets are non-toxic, certified to CE standards, and 100% home recyclable when you’re finished with them.
Yes. Every roll comes with a travel bag, so you can black out a hotel room, holiday house or grandparents’ spare room wherever you go.
